In anticipation of our Saints Alive members’ project, we will be demonstrating a number of approaches for making multicolored prints.

As these methods of adding color to your prints are not specific to Saints Alive, you should consider attending even if you are not participating in the project.

Member printers and printmakers will be in both the press room and classroom from 1-4 pm presenting various techniques for making colorful prints.

This event is open to the public with no registration required.

Demonstrations to include:

  • Registering polymer plates on letterpress
  • Japanese wood block printing in color
  • Reduction prints (carving a single linoleum block to print all colors)
  • Hand-coloring printed line art with watercolor pencils
  • Cutting kraft foam “plates” for color fills

Bring your sketches! Members demonstrating their methods will be happy to offer suggestions.

Our COVID Vaccination and Masking Policy:
