Create your own custom photo album or memory book while also learning good bookbinding techniques to preserve and present your mementos.
Students will bring 10 photographs measuring 4×6 or 3×5 to class and curate them into a book of content.
The curating process and some journaling exercises will help students tie the photos into a storyline and write about their experiences in the pages adjoining the photographic memories.
Writing about the memories evoked from the photographs helps individuals relive their cherished experiences and creates a historical record written in the viewer’s own hand that can be shared and cherished for generations.
The written pages and mounted photographs are then bound in a beautiful hardback book complete with decorative paper covers and book cloth spine.
